Dill Horseradish Cod

This Dill Horseradish Cod is a simple, flavorful way to enjoy cod. In fact you can replace the cod with halibut or even red drum. Our Dill and Horseradish Compound Butter compliments any mild flaky fish. It’s easy to make, packed with flavor and perfect for either a quick weeknight meal or a special dinner. Serve it with roasted vegetables or a light salad for a balanced satisfying meal. Serves up to four.

WHAT

  • 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 lb filet of cod
  • 6 TBSP Locally Seasoned Dill Horseradish Compound Butter

HOW

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Add Dill Horseradish Compound Butter to a small pan and place on the stove. On low, slowly melt Dill Horseradish Compound Butter. Stir often. Be careful not to burn.
  3. Pour about half of the butter over the bottom of an oven safe skillet.
  4. Nestle four 4 oz pieces of fillet of cod into the butter in the skillet. Pour remaining butter over top of cod.
  5. Bake, uncovered for 11-13 minutes or until 125°-130° in the center and cod is firm and meaty.
  6. Serve with a squeeze of citrus.
